There aren't many great bars in Chamonix but you should be happy with a drink in any of these. If you find others that we should mention, please let us know.

Chambre Neuf
This is part of The Gustavia hotel and very popular among the Swedish crowd in Chamonix. A good fun pub atmosphere.

Elevation 1904
Popular French owned bar with regular sports events screenings and party nights.

MBC
Apart from being a good place to eat, MBC is the only place in town where you can buy a micro-brewed beer. Always nice and easy.

Mix Bar
This tiny bar on the Rue de Moulin features good local and visiting DJs and a small river terrace.

Soul Food
Small bar on the Rue des Moulins, very local, very French and some good DJs squeezed in most nights too.

Bar’d Up
This place is good to watch the football.

Clubs
There are a few clubs left in Chamonix and they are all crap! They really, really are. You can try Garage (down by the Hotel Morgane) if you really need to dance or Bar Le Choucas for a late drink.
